Our Story

A village built from understanding.

Village Within Foundation began with a simple truth spoken by families in our own community: no one should have to navigate this journey alone.

How it started

Caring for a child with autism or another developmental or intellectual disability brings unique joys — and challenges most people never see. Too often, the parents and caregivers doing that work feel unseen, unsupported, and exhausted.

We started Village Within Foundation because families in our community asked for one thing above all else: to feel less alone. To find people who understand without explanation. To have somewhere to turn on the hard days and someone to celebrate with on the good ones.

What began as conversations between parents grew into gatherings, then workshops, then a whole community that keeps showing up for each other.

Because no family should have to navigate this journey alone.

Our Mission

The mission of Village Within Foundation is to build a supportive and compassionate community for families raising children with autism and other developmental or intellectual disabilities. We connect parents with resources, education, meaningful relationships, and opportunities that help both children and families thrive.

    We work to reduce isolation and create a sense of belonging for every family we serve — so no caregiver carries the weight alone.
